A year after giving birth to her son Alexandre, supermodel Lais Ribeiro born in Teresina, Piaui, gave in to a friend’s advice and started working as a model in her native Brazil. It didn’t take long for her to move on and in 2009 she walked the major international catwalks for such designers as CHANEL, LOUIS VUITTON, GUCCI, DOLCE & GABBANA, VERSACE, and MARC JACOBS. During the fashion week of Brazil for the spring/summer 2011 collections, Ribeiro was the most booked runway model with 27 shows during São Paulo Fashion Week and 26 shows during Rio Fashion Week. Ribeiro has been photographed for American, Brazilian, German, and Italian Vogue, while gracing the covers of countless publications including Vogue Brazil & Germany, Elle Brazil & Italia, Harper’s Bazaar Arabia & Brazil, GQ Mexico & SAfrica and 10 Magazine. Ribeiro has appeared in ad campaigns for RALPH LAUREN, CHRISTIAN DIOR, TOM FORD, GAP and DKNY “Be Delicious” fragrance. Lais works diligently for VICTORIA’S SECRET, having appeared consistently from 2010-to date in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows, as well as countless TV commercials from everything Valentine’s Day to Christmas. She was officially crowned a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2015. In 2017 she made her first, of many, appearances in the infamous Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and enjoys sharing her travels and leisure with her 3.3million IG followers. Beneath the glamour, Lais nurtures an abiding passion for giving back.
