What a more prestigious way to make your mark on the fashion scene than landing a cover for the iconic Italian Vogue magazine. Photographed by Mark Borthwick and styled by Carlos Nazario, Emily Miller’s first modelling assignment was exactly just that.
From there, this pure American beauty quickly found herself on sets for other fashion publications including Pop Magazine, Re-Edition, Numero France, WSJ, Self Service and Vogue Thailand while fronting high-end advertising campaigns for CALVIN KLEIN, DSQUARED2 and LOUIS VUITTON.
Emily counts on her deep connection with music to trigger her inner self. When in front of the camera, being video or photographic, it’s the music that accompanies her into effortlessly expressing all the many facets of herself. In fact, an encounter with casting director David Rapaport sparked a strong interest to explore her potential on-screen as well. Emily envisions herself as a dynamic storyteller able to use her emotions to bring characters to life.
As a thrift-shop advocate, Emily is living proof that clothes have no gender. She doesn’t just wear clothes...she uses her inner stregnth and conviction to defy cultural standards. Holding her bold position, Emily encourages others to embrace , and stay true, to their authentic self. As her narrative begins to unfold, the message is to intensify the voice of the LGBTQ+ community to destroy unwarranted stereotypes.
Emily’s small-town roots have not gone astray amidst all the glitz and glam. Her interests range anywhere from finding cool one of a kind pieces in antique shops to thrift, to hours of writing in her journals. In fact, journaling is one of Emily’s biggest passions…. currently rewriting one of her journals into a poetry book!
For season f/w24 of the fashion show circuit, Emily was picked-up for an exclusive appearance by MIU MIU to walk their Paris runway.
